Citrine is a transparent, yellow variety of Quartz, ranging in color from pale to golden yellow, honey or almost brown. The name is derived from Latin citrina which means yellow. Natural citrines are rare; most commercial citrines are heat-treated amethysts or smoky quartzes.

Citrine Treatments:-

Significant Gem Localities:-
Sources of citrine include Brazil, Bolivia, Burma (Myanmar), Canada, Madagascar, Sri Lanka, Uruguay, several African countries and parts of the Soviet Union.
